purchase this AC unit to replace my previous Frigidaire window air conditioner. the new unit is quieter and has stronger fan air flow. I've always been pleased with Frigidaire but even I was impressed with this new model. the Wi-Fi controls make it a lot easier to operate as well.

The Frigidaire 10000btu window air conditioner is the best ac I've ever owned. Keeps my room nice and cool and is very quiet, only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because the mechanism to open the outside air vent broke off after first use and is stuck shut.

This is a great functioning unit. I took one star away because it is unfortunately very loud.. even on the low fan setting. It does definitely cool down my apartment however and the thermostat feature is very nice. I did have a bit of trouble getting it connected to Wi-Fi and connected to my google home. Overall for the price it is decent.. I just wish it was a little quieter.

Noisy, substandard remote

The unit is very noisy. I have a much higher capacity unit from another brand which is far far quieter. Of all the window A/C units I have this is consistent with some older units and noisier than some others. The remote shipped with a dead battery. I replaced it with a new battery and it barely works: you need to press the on button multiple times for it to work and sometimes it doesn't ever work. I have almost given up on the remote. I did download the wifi control app and it was a major chore to get it running: the app starts and then tells you you have to download an updated app, and it took forever to get this set up but it works in lieu of the remote which is basically useless. Overall not impressed by this unit at all. It cools the room consistent with its rated capacity, and the price was very reasonable. That earns it the 3 stars but it's a long way from the fourth star.
