I think these a/c units have a lot of neet options. but for GE appliances I am really disappointed. I installed an ac 6/14/2021 and had to replace it 6/21/2022. these are through the wall a/c units. up until a few years ago i could bank on a 10+ year life. now I doubt it.

Barely Cools!

My wife and I have had past models of 12,000 BTU GE air conditioners in the exact location where this brand new one is installed, and they worked much better. The room used to get ice-cold, and now, with this fancy new model, it barely gets cool. Plus, the wireless doesn't work. As soon as I try to connect, it disables my phone's Wi-fi, making it impossible to complete the steps to connect to the AC. I'm very unimpressed with this fancy new, large paperweight. One Star, at best. Will be installing an old model in its place, and putting it where we need less cooling power. A true dud!

Ratting Noise

Brand new, installed and turned unit on, made rattling noise, then more intermittent rattling noise for nine (9) consecutive days, for about 4-5 hours each day at about 67dB. I am having difficult with trying to exchange or repair the unit. I paid $1000 and $100 for delivery and installation.
