I had the smaller unit (7500) that had a circuit board failure. The rep I talked to handled my claim expertly. With the GE replacement process I decided to go ahead and replace with an upgrade to the (10,500) unit.

This unit performs as advertised and although I had a defective part the issue was satisfactorily resolved. Although I intended for it to be used off a generator during storm power outages it's been doing an outstanding job keeping an inclosed sun room at the set temperature. Also, there has been no need to drain it as the evaporator has taken care of the condensation build up, I recommend the quality of the product.

I bought this and actually two other small acs for my apartment and I planned on putting this in my living room and the small ones in the bedrooms but I tried this in the living room which is open to the kitchen a hallway and a tiny dining nook and it was too much power for my home and the breaker kept shutting off so I moved around the acs and figured out which things were on which breaker and it ended up being in our main bedroom and I am so grateful for it. It has jepy it cool during Oregon's heatwaves of 110 degree days for a week at a time as long as we close the door. I wish I had another this size for my living room though.

I payed 600 dollars for this unit. In about a month the wheel fan cracked. I ask GE for replacement part. They informed my the the unit had no replacement parts. Well i would have to ship it back to get a replacement unit. In my mind by the time i get it back it would be fall. I had to fix it myself. Before purchasing any ac, make sure that parts are available. This was not a cheap unit.

Had to return due to the internal fan making a clunking sound. I tried to reach out to GE on website to schedule a maintenance appt or even just get someone on phone. Website was glitchy and schedule maintenance page kept reloading over and over, never was able to get someone on the phone. Returned it

Owned a Black and Decker that quit cooling at the beginning of the third summer. This unit does a much better job of cooling and was also quieter. They are both 10,000 btu.

I have a swamp cooler so I needed something for days over 100. It works great, not loud at all. I have it in the dining room, adjacent to the living room. I have crank windows so I had to add plywood to the wondow, vent it out that way. The only negative is exhaust hose just twist on and if you barely bump it, it comes off. So, I don't move it or try to touch it. I've only had to use it 4 times this summer and I'm in Los Angeles, it's a great option instead of regular ac and that cost.

Product worked at first really great, then on a hot summer month of using! It made a loud noise and AC stopped working! 560$ plus tx. Very disappointing, hopefully getting it replaced and repaired isnt a problem.... so far they need to check the machine,and now for the long hot wait for summer . so much for preparing to avoid the heat. Machine wasnt even on for a month. Very disappointing. If repairs go great maybe it could be a keep if the issues dosent happen again

I purchased this product to avoid getting on my roof to uncover and service my swamp cooler since I'm in my 70's.
It was the answer to coolness. It did work out using it off and on for about 6 weeks.
I went to the store, when I can back home
I heard a clacking sound coming from the cooler.
Needless to say, I can not use this cooler any more.
So much for the not so cool, coolness. What a waste of money!

This unit cools my bedroom adequately but I expected the fan to run constantly even when the compressor wasn't on, so I miss circulating air and use a separate fan to keep it comfortable.
It's a loud unit, too, which is bothersome for a light sleeper as myself.
Overall it serves its purpose adequately.
When using the dehumidifier, you can't set a temperature so my room stays at a higher humidity, even when cooled off, than I like.

This a/c works better than the 10 year old (other brand) unit it replaces. The one issue I have is that the instruction manual doesn't describe the best feature which eliminates having to drain the condensate!

After a month I had an issue where the water drain tank would fill every 45 mins or so. It's dry California & it never did that the previous 29 days, so something broke or the unit was defective. I really enjoyed this air conditioner for the month it worked and was sad to return it. I wouldn't recommend this model because of how quickly it broke.

Do not waste your money. AC unit froze-up less than a month after install. Temps outside were only 80 degrees. Came home to find water misting/spewing out of vent and onto hardwoods. Removed back panel and sheet of ice had formed. Turned off unit and unplugged. Did this twice. Hoping I can get it fixed or replaced.

I have previously purchased three (3) portable air conditioners. The GE APCD10JASG is by far the best one of them. First of all it possesses better cooling features than the others and the remote control allows you to make changes effortlessly. Additionally, the GE APCD10JASG is definitely the quietest of all the units I currently have in my home.

I bought this air conditioner well before the current heat wave and set up everything so I thought I would be prepared. First minor issue is that I couldn't get the app/wifi to work which is not the end of the world. I couldn't find the info needed to connect on the box or on the unit itself.
Now that we are in the middle of a heat wave, I am seeing how little this does if anything. It is sad that a little $30 desk fan does the same and more. I do not recommend this at all.

Love that this unit is easy to move around to different rooms as needed. The only complaint is the hose doesn't stay in the back well. Had to duct tape it to the plastic before putting it on the backside of the unit.

This portable ac unit had been in my home for a week. It's just now showing the FL indicator and it's easy to remove condensation. The window panels were not as compatible with my bedroom windows as I'd liked but the foam was useful to ensure the window not letting more air out. I bought this size for my master bedroom because it's a larger size and it keeps the room nice and cool when it's on. My central AC went out and I was waiting on a repair part to come in and definitely wanted a good investment for the hotter summer months in south Texas.
