We bought this from Costco 4.5 years ago. It has run nicely until about 6 weeks ago. We noticed it was very noisy. Then I began noticing that the ice was not as frozen hard but allowed it was summer and we were opening the freezer more. But the morning came when everything had thawed and I had to throw all freezer food out. Although it was a few days before a technician could come out he explained that it was the compressor making the noise and it read at a 2 on a 1-20 scale with 1 being the worst. He was very nice and replaced the compressor which was still under warranty. The refrigerator is now doing its job

I have actually had my refrigerator for 4 years its a great refrigerator. Two reasons I havent given it five stars is one I dont totally love the setup for ice and water dispensing. It all comes out of one instead of two slots and if youre using it and someone opens the door it stops working until the door is shut. And weve already had to have our compressor replaced just this past week.

We bought this fridge about 4 years ago. We really like the door in a door and the 2 icemakers . Looked good in the black stainless. We liked it enough that when we neede a new dishwasher we got a matching LG unit. . We had a compressor go out on the fridge. I called and found it was 100 covered under warranty. THEY SENT A GUY OUT THE NEXT DAY He changed the compressor and we were back in business.

Thinking we got lemon

Purchased the refrigerator in December 2019. Quit working July 2021 with a bad compressor. Melted ice damaged our kitchen floor. Refrigerator repair took over 2 weeks waiting for parts. Now quit working again December 2023. Noticed freezer not cooling properly and refrigerator followed. Repairman out again and now waiting for new seal and compressor. It will be almost a month with no refrigeration. No fun living out of coolers and neighbors extra refrigerator space. Wish LG would do the right thing and replace the refrigerator.

Have this refrigerator since 2018 and I love it. However 8 days after extended warranty expired the compressor went. LG made me pay for full service visit charge of 597 and were not willing to do anything since the warranty had just expired. I was hoping theyd at least discount it since it only expired a week prior. For that I am disappointed in LG.

Thank you for reaching out truthfully I have been a loyal customer to LG In the Past I have bought my DREAM refrigerator microwaves Stoves washers / Dryers TVs vacuums computers/laptops sound bars projectors and more Back when I bought my fridge about 2 years ago had no problems it fit well with my kitchen and looked great in my home. I started having problems with it when I noticed my food would go bad too quick I thought maybe it was my fault I bought my food too close to the expiration date . Then my ice machine wouldnt create ice anymore . Later on my fridge light went out and finally one day it just stopped working we tried everything moving the fridge testing the outlet until eventually we had to just move all of our food to a back up fridge. I contacted LG and then was told someone would come out and help. They then came to try and fix it twice giving me hope for something . Until eventually the answer I was told was we cant do anything for you surely I was confused . I HAD insurance for a reason . He just picked up his tools and left . I was so angry INSURANCE they try and get you to pay insurance on everything and when I decided to purchase it it didnt even help . Sure enough the sadness wasnt even the worst part. Having to throw away my DREAM FRIDGE watching the garbage take it away made me even angrier because of the insurance that was NEVER going to work . This is my final notice that LG Will never be used my home again .

I bought this less than 4 years ago. Stopped producing ice. Called for service. After a week of attempted fixes the refrigerator was deemed unrepairable do to Freon leak in area unserviceable. The scrap metal guy in my neighborhood said Thank You for the broken refrigerator as he and his partner threw it in his trailer with all the other scrap metal stuff he was trashing out. It was the best looking piece of trash in the trailer. A great addition to the landfill.

Eye candy for the entire room

I have had this refrigerator for 4 years now. The unit has had only one issue which was a compressor and LG came out promptly and fixed it at now charge on the warranty. The black stainless beauty is the center of the kitchen. The design is superb as the drawers and shelves match up with the needed storage. I seldom use the lighted door display though.

We bought a full LG high end appliance package including washer and dryer. We have have no problems except with Refrigerator model LFXS28596D weve replaced the drawer icemaker 3 times and the compressor once and its still having issues with cooling. I will be calling for service again today. Make sure you buy an extended warranty for this model. Otherwise we love it and all of our other products
